Alpesh Patel OBE is a British investor, author, broadcaster and entrepreneur. He has built a career translating the often needlessly complicated worlds of investing, economics and technology into practical ideas for private investors, businesses and policymakers.

He wrote more than 200 columns for the Financial Times, presented programmes for Bloomberg Television and has appeared across the BBC, CNBC, CNN, Sky News and Channel 4. He is the author of 18 books on investing and entrepreneurship, published internationally and translated into several languages.

For the UK Government, Alpesh serves as a Dealmaker in the Department for Business and Trade's Global Entrepreneur Programme, helping high-growth technology companies build and expand from the United Kingdom. He was previously appointed to the UK–India Roundtable and has advised on closer economic and diplomatic links between the two countries.

A barrister by training, Alpesh studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford and law at King's College London. He later returned to Oxford as a Visiting Fellow in Business at Corpus Christi College. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2020 for services to the economy and international trade.
